Swedish Mountain Residents

The weekend was spent at the wedding of some dear friends.  They are Swedish hence my journey up into the North of Sweden to a small mountainous region called Are.  The wedding was simply perfect in every way and the area is a must especially for those who are fond of skiing.
An additional highlight, not mentioned in the travel guides, is that this is a great area for dog spotting.  The hounds included in this post are what I would describe as 'awesom'.  They were extremely pleased to be fussed over and the King Poodles had haircuts to be proud of.  The dark haired dog reminded me very much of my beloved Patch, the family dog when I was growing up.  (He may have got an extra pat). I found it difficult to say goodbye to all these wonderful fine specimens of hound.
Next weekend Paris, hopefully will return with more great dogspotter sightings.

Country Files

The beginning of this week my day job took me out to the green fields of Hertfordshire. An absolute bonus was had when Oscar came bounding out of a barn that was full of attractive tractors. I use the word attractive as they looked all shiny and new and were lined up on display, I have no idea why. Anyway back to Oscar, he lives on this beautiful country estate with fields upon fields to sniff and run around in.  He had found a rather large branch for a game of tug of war but unfortunately my meeting prevented this.  Day jobs equal no hound action.

Neither Stills nor Nash

Here ladies and gents is a dogstar in the making. Hence my longer then usual commentary on dogspotter.blogspot.com.
This is a 9 month, one week and a bit Boston Terrier - Crosby.  He resides in the East End of London and enjoys a charmed life. After waking from his slumber on his comfy double bed, Crosby enjoys a leisurely breakfast. This can consist of a boiled egg, presented on a bed of beetroot with cherry tomatoes. Followed by healthy rice cakes with marmite and a selection of dried fruits, mango is a particular favourite.
He may then, on a work day, be taken to the design studio where he can lounge on designer bags and cast his dog eye on the next seasons trends.
In the afternoon he may choose do to lunch with his latest pal Jasper, not Conran but a cute Schnauzer that he has met out on Hackney Marshes, where he bounds around like a spring lamb but avoids puddles that are not good for a dog of his perfect stature. The perfect end to his perfect day would finish with a private view of Hotel for Dogs and a little chew on his string of rubber sausages.

Life is sweet for Crosby but why wouldn't it be when you look this cute.
Go Crosby Go.

on my street

there are good things about living on my street in leafy SW6. BUT the very best thing is Seamus. I have been following his manouevres for quite some time and have given him my own special name of Harry. This is due to wanting him to be mine and like the idea of having a furry four legged friend called Harry. Anyway, this hound is a good neighbour so wanted to include him on my blog. I think the photos speak for themselves. He is often sporting a new hairstyle, today the 80's flop fringe suits him well. Seamus/Harry we salute you.

Birthday Hound

Happy Birthday to Boo.  He is the grand total of 11 months. As a special treat Boo is being taken for posh cake up town in London. His owner wanted to have a special happy birthday for him as David, the owner, relies on Boo's company more then ever as his wife has been deported by our compassionate Government?!! So a big slab of chocolate cake is on the menu, to match his chocolate coat. And lets hope Boo and his mum are reunited soon.

Mayfair Lady

On my little jaunt into Mayfair yesterday to sip champagne at the APC store launch, I had the simple pleasure of meeting Bonnie.  I spotted this thirsty hound strolling into an off-license. She appeared to be a regular as the shop assistance seemed quite an ease with her presence.  I couldn't resist to give her a little pat, for which she seemed most grateful, as she selected a good vintage with her owner.

Darkness of Soho

This is Dracula in the flesh. His name suits him so well. His owner is high on the cool richter scale too.

Furry Beach Bums

Beach Shack Dwellers

My favourite hound of the weekend. In a wooden beach shack this adorable dweller helped to sell vintage collectables.  Very difficult to say no to.

Happy Holiday Hounds

Dogs on holiday.  A variety of hounds spotted on a sunny August day in and around Whitstable.
