Vive La France

I would like to introduce you to Claude, a French Bulldog. As you can see a rather naughty chap but very very adorable. He has a rather distinguished family heritage, apparently his father was a Crufts champion, so Claude comes from the right side of the tracks.
He can be spotted most days in the highly respected menswear store Oi Polloi, in Manchester. Sometimes he has to be put back into his cage as yet he has not learnt that shop stock is not for chewing. But I'm sure he will soon learn to understand that in the fashion business quality garments deserve the utmost respect.

Too cute

A quick little post. The cute factor of this image is off the dogspotter scale. Barney eating snow. This image was sent to me from my hound loving mother-in-law. Barney is owned by a very lucky friend of hers who has kindly agreed for Barney to receive a united 'ah' from all those that view him. AH!

A very Happy New Year to Molly

A somewhat late Happy New Year and apologies for a lack of hounds for 2010. But after the festive Christmas break I am back on track and my dogspotter nose is back in action.
So to kick start the year my friends i bring you the one and only Molly. Big round of applause please, this beautiful hound is definitely looking forward to a happier year. Molly has been rescued, praise to the new owners. Molly's previous life consisted of ill treatment that has turned her into a very timid and scared dog. My brother has been dogsitting her for a couple of weeks and he brought her on a trip to visit me. She was shaking like a leaf when she came in and took refuge under the table. I don't think I have ever seen a dog shake so much. But after a little chicken treat she began to relax and soon her tail began to wag again. Three cheers for Molly. Hip hip hooray.

Here they are..... Bert & Ernie

My absolute highlight as the dogspotter for my trip to Newcastle has to be the delight of meeting Bert & Ernie. Whilst walking Toby, granny Joyce's hound, I could hear rather loud and excitable barking. As I looked out into the snowy distance I could see not one but two shaggy dogs bounding towards me. You can imagine my sheer delight. Bert & Ernie are the kinds of dog I dream about, playful, furry with endless energy. Mr. Bert, as his owner referred to him, simply is the spitting image of Boot from the Perishers and Ernie ( the black shaggy ) is a rescued dog, he has now found his true home after being rejected by others before. WHO could do such a thing!
I have taken so many shots I am going to post them over to posts. Enjoy and Merry Christmas. The Dogspotter x

Supermarket dogs

As the title suggests - these old timers were spotted being very patient waiting for owners and sausages outside the local supermarket.
